    Xylem is seeking a results-driven, Lean manufacturing **Production Supervisor** to lead third-shift operations in our **fabrication and welding department** , supporting the production of large-scale wastewater treatment equipment made from carbon and stainless steel.

     

    This role is essential in driving operational excellence through **lean manufacturing** principles and a strong focus on safety, quality, and team performance.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

    + Implement lean manufacturing initiatives to improve workflow and reduce waste.

    + Identify and execute process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.

    + Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability and minimize downtime.

    Leadership & Operations

    + Supervise and coordinate a team of approximately 25 direct reports.

    + Manage daily operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.

    + Conduct shift meetings and communicate updates to management and team members.

    + Ensure equipment and facility maintenance to support continuous production.

    Safety & Compliance

    + Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety and accountability.

    + Ensure compliance with regulatory and company safety standards.

    Quality Control

    + Maintain and enforce quality control measures.

    + Conduct inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.

    Team Development

    + Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.

    + Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.

    + Resolve conflicts constructively and support team adaptability.

    Administrative & Strategic

    + Manage departmental budget and control operational expenses.

    + Stay informed on industry trends and integrate best practices.

    + Support decision-making aligned with organizational goals.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    + Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    + Solid understanding of inventory management and lean manufacturing.

    + Ability to make informed decisions and adapt to changing priorities.

    Preferred:

    + Experience with SAP and Workday systems.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

    + Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

    Compensation & Benefits

    + **Salary Range:** $72,300 – $85,000 + bonus (based on experience, skills, and location)
