h1 data-start="163" data-end="190">Radiologic Technologist Location: Lexington, KY Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Compensation: Starting at $30/hour, with higher rates commensurate with experience Position Overview Bluegrass Orthopaedics is seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Lexington, KY. The Radiologic Technologist will operate imaging equipment, perform diagnostic procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This role will have a radiology tech assistant to support daily tasks within the clinic. This role is integral to delivering high-quality patient care in our orthopaedic practice. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escorting them to and from exam rooms and providing clear instructions. Position patients and equipment properly to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging. Operate radiologic equipment following established requirements and regulations. Apply radiation safety measures and protection devices to safeguard patients and staff. Maintain and monitor equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly. Manage imaging orders and documentation within the EMR system. Monitor and communicate supply needs to the Radiology Supervisor. Support the clinical team as needed, including obtaining vital signs and assisting with patient flow. Maintain required professional licenses and certifications. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Applied Science preferred. Current ARRT license required. Current Kentucky State Radiation Operator license required. Prior experience with Greenway Intergy EMR/PMS preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, OSHA standards, healthcare compliance, ALARA principles, and ARRT Code of Ethics. Skills & Abilities Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in performing diagnostic X-rays. Ability to work efficiently in collaboration with other technologists and clinical staff. Physical Requirements Good visual acuity, dexterity, and ability to communicate clearly. Ability to lift and carry more than 25 pounds, including pushing, pulling, and full range of body movement. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp, and stand for extended periods.
