Accounts Payable Supervisor

Industry: Venture Capital / Family Office Finance

A well-established investment firm with deep roots in Silicon Valley is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to join its finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work across both venture capital and family office operations, supporting a dynamic and high-performing environment.

Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee the full AP function, manage workflows, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting and enjoys improving processes while maintaining precision and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

+ Supervise AP operations and team calendar

+ Oversee invoice processing for both the firm and 6–10 family office clients

+ Coordinate payments via Ramp, Concur, ACH, wire, and manual checks

+ Manage “positive pay” confirmations and banking inquiries

+ Set up tax payments via IRS and FTB portals

+ Maintain vendor records and coordinate additions

+ Record AP entries and collaborate with the General Ledger team for quarterly journal entries

+ Support transition and implementation of Ramp software

+ Coordinate property tax payments for family office clients

+ Provide additional AP support as needed

+ Make weekly bank deposits and record entries

+ Roll over quarterly “cash sheets” and add new entities as needed

+ Assist with ad hoc finance and accounting projects as requested

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

+ 4+ years of accounts payable experience; general accounting experience a plus

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and SharePoint

+ Experience with Ramp or similar AP platforms preferred

+ Strong communication and organizational skills

+ Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

+ Adaptable, process-focused, and eager to learn
