    The Assistant Director of Recruiting for the Executive MBA Health MBA Program (HEMBA) is primarily responsible for the development, execution, and effectiveness of recruiting strategies with the goal of promoting the program among potential students and driving enrollment. A central part of this role will also be to develop partnerships with companies willing to send potential students to the program on a regular basis.

     

    A secondary responsibility is to develop and implement marketing campaigns designed to expand the HEMBA Program's visibility, increase leads, and identify passionate, creative, and motivated students who are emerging leaders in their organizations. This full-time position will be an integral and contributing member of the HEMBA team. The position will report to the Program Director of the HEMBA and work with the Program Coordinator and Financial Director of the EMBA, as well as the Marketing Department of the business school, to optimize the competitive positioning of the HEMBA in local, regional, and national markets. This position also includes other operational duties, as needed, to manage the program and support the HEMBA faculty, current students, and alumni. The position will require some evening or weekend work, and occasional out-of-state travel.

     

    Assistant Director of Recruiting and Operations

    What you will do:

    _HEMBA Recruitment and Enrollment Management (Primary)_

    + Assist the Director to develop and implement HEMBA student recruitment policies and practices to drive enrollment growth for the program.

    + Generate and manage the recruitment funnel, maximizing responsiveness to convert expressions of interest into enrolled students.

    + Develop annual recruiting and enrollment goals to ensure the financial sustainability of the HEMBA Program.

    + Oversee prospective student database and software systems to receive, follow-up on, and track information requests and questions from prospective students.

    + Assist the admissions committee to review applications, conduct interviews, and evaluate applicants for admission to the program and eligibility for merit-based scholarships.

    + Develop partnerships with companies willing to identify and support mid-to senior-level managers to regularly participate in the CU Denver HEMBA Program.

    + Utilize opportunities for recruitment that may exist among current students and alumni.

    + Coordinate the HEMBA Program's presence at recruiting fairs, as well as other events within and outside the Denver metro area.

    + Organize, host, and participate in regular information sessions, webinars, and other events that target prospective students, on and off campus.

    + Engage with the Business School's advising teams and various student affairs offices to strengthen enrollments in the HEMBA program.

    + Develop effective yield processes and activities for recruitment and enrollment of students.

    + Collaborate with the Director and Financial Director on the annual budget for HEMBA student recruitment.

    + Serve as spokesperson for the mission and values of the HEMBA program, business school, and the university.

    _HEMBA Marketing and Advertising Campaigns (Secondary)_

    + Design and implement digital and print marketing campaigns to develop relationships, raise awareness about the program's unique strengths, and support recruitment among prospective and current students, as well as developing strong alumni ties.

    + Implement communications strategies, including direct mail and e-mail, digital media, pipeline programs and partnerships, and other related events.

    + Manage the programs social media presence across multiple channels

    + Negotiate and manage the HEMBA's contract (MOU) with the Business School Marketing Department to optimize program awareness and lead generations.

    + Manage and maintain the HEMBA web pages to ensure content remains accurate, up-to-date, and optimal in terms of market positioning.

    + Conduct competitive intelligence to be knowledgeable about competing programs and the marketing approaches of those programs.

    + Work with outside vendors, as needed.

    HEMBA Classroom Management (Secondary)

    + Work with the Director, Finance Director, and program faculty to support the delivery of classes.

    + Work with Director and Financial Director to respond to student inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.

    + Assist with the coordination of program specific events, such as orientation, graduation, program receptions, and alumni relations.

    + Other duties, as needed.

    Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)

    + Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, public relations, or related field.

    + Four (4) years of professional experience in postsecondary student affairs, student recruiting, and/or equivalent customer outreach.

    Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)

    + Master's degree in business, communications, marketing, public relations, or related field.

    + Eight (8) or more years of professional experience in postsecondary student affairs, student recruiting, and/or equivalent customer outreach.

    + Experience with Student Information Systems/CRM (such as Salesforce and Slate).

    + Experience with the design and production of print and electronic publications.

    + Experience with content marketing and website management (specifically Drupl).

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    + Possess at least a rudimentary understanding of the local, regional, and national markets for executive Health MBA programs.

    + Collaborate with faculty and staff from the business school, the Division of Student Affairs, prospective students and their families, alumni, and industry leaders.

    + Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining exemplary attention to detail.

    + Be able to work independently, identify and set priorities, and meet deadlines.

    + Demonstrate a grasp of the unique value proposition we are trying to deliver with the CU Denver HEMBA Program.

    + Significant strategic, analytical, and creative capacities, including experience with statistical analysis.

    + Ability to work with a diverse population in a manner that earns the respect of colleagues.

    + Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

    Conditions of Employment

    + Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of time.

    + Must be willing and able to work occasional evenings and weekends.

    + Must be willing to work creatively and collaboratively in an ambitious team environment.

    + Must be willing and able to reliably transport self and any work materials to and from off-site work locations as needed for business purposes.

     

    Mental, Physical, and/or Environmental Requirements

     

    The ability to sit for extended periods, stand and walk occasionally, reach with hands and arms, use hands to manipulate a keyboard and mouse, and have good near vision for computer work; often requiring minimal lifting, but may involve bending or reaching to retrieve items from shelves or drawers.

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $82,647 - $86,000.

     

    The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
