• Appellate/Insurance Defense Legal Assistant

    Kubicki Draper (Kendall, FL)


    The Miami office of Kubicki Draper, is currently seeking a strong, Legal Assistant with 3+ years’ experience. Insurance defense background preferred, with appellate experience a plus. This is an in-person position. Remote opportunity is not available.

    What You Bring:

    + Civil Litigation and/or Insurance Defense experience.

    + Prior experience managing attorney calendars/scheduling, and drafting legal documents including standardized letters, pleadings and reports.

    + Ability to efile in state and federal courts.

    + Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be detailed oriented.

    + Must have working knowledge of Florida court procedures and be familiar with e-service and e-filing.

    Requirements

    Your Day-to-Day:

    + Supporting appellate attorneys with managing calendars, scheduling, and drafting legal documents.

    + Communicating regularly with internal and external clients; courts, adjusters, and more.

    + Must be competent & proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Outlook.

    + Managing deadlines, following up on items, and maintaining case list.

    + Ability to work in a fast paced evolving environment as part of a team.
