Summary:
Meta is seeking an experienced tax professional with advanced tax technical and operational expertise who will focus on supporting, building and scaling systems and processes for US income tax related to Infrastructure. Meta’s investments in Infrastructure include data centers, fiber optic cable systems and vast amounts of computer equipment necessary to achieve the Company's ambitious AI goals. In this position, you will be part of the Tax Operations team supporting the Company’s tax provision, compliance, forecasting and operational process improvements. It’s a unique opportunity to apply current and emerging technology tools and collaborate with cross-functional teams within Meta including Accounting, Construction, Economic Development, Supply Chain and Engineering teams. In this role, you'll be hands-on rolling-up the sleeves and being in the details, as well as having the knowledge to think big picture and manage complex initiatives. You will be expected to anticipate and surface issues, solve problems, recommend solutions to the business and the broader tax team and exercise good business judgment while performing these functions. You will manage and own end-to-end operational and reporting processes supporting US income tax for Infrastructure. Among your many attributes, you will have a record of progression and success in a Big 4 and/or in-house experience in a public US-based multi-national corporation. You will have experience in tax technical areas with the experience applying such knowledge in the Company’s ASC 740 tax provision. You will enjoy being entrepreneurial in your day-to-day, because you can work with limited direction while taking ownership of your area of responsibility.
Required Skills:
Tax Operations Manager - Infrastructure Responsibilities:
1. Support Meta's quarterly and annual global income tax provision systems calculation and reporting processes related to Infrastructure
2. Support US income tax planning, including modeling, tax technical analysis and documentation
3. Identify and assess process and system enhancement opportunities, plan and lead implementation
4. Work proactively with Engineering to resolve critical systems issues
5. Partner with US & international tax teams to ensure full tax integration
6. Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the business in making strategic decisions related to Infrastructure
7. Support Meta’s IRS controversy team prepare for and respond to audits related to Infrastructure areas
8. Work with external auditors in establishing tax provision timelines, work plans, defining deliverables, and assisting in completion auditors’ year-end audit
9. Monitor SOX compliance for the tax team and respond to internal audit requests as necessary
10. Partner with the rest of the team to deliver analytical solutions and to determine impact of strategic business decisions and transactions

Minimum Qualifications:

12. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or related field
13. 8+ years of combined relevant tax experience in Big 4 and/or public US corporation
14. Solid technical proficiency in ASC 740 provision and tax technical accounting
15. Demonstrated leadership experience and experience managing projects
16. Experience organizing large volume of information and identify automation opportunities
17. Clear communicator, experience running meetings effectively, and explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience
18. Sense of ownership and accountability
19. Demonstrated analytical skills
20. Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on, results-oriented and self-motivated
21. Self-initiative and persistence, experience dealing with a high degree of ambiguity and drive clarity in key areas

22. Experience in financial systems (i.e. Oracle, Oracle Fixed Assets, Hyperion, Essbase, etc.), Alteryx and OTP provision
23. Experience in the areas of tax fixed asset depreciation, intangibles amortization, and leasing
24. Experience collaborating with geographically distributed cross-functional teams to implement business processes in a global environment
25. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent preferred
Public Compensation:
$142,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
