Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Finance & Accounting Specialist to support our corporate finance, bookkeeping, and accounting functions. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and supporting the company’s growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in government contracting environments, familiarity with DCAA-compliant accounting systems, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger records. Process invoices, purchase orders, vendor payments, and expense reports. Prepare and review timesheets, labor cost allocations, and payroll in compliance with DCAA/FAR requirements. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial reporting. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis activities. Track contract funding, billing, and revenue recognition for multiple projects. Prepare financial reports for management and assist with audits and compliance reviews. Maintain organized and secure financial records in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards. Collaborate with program managers and contracts staff to ensure accurate financial tracking of CLINs, task orders, and deliverables. Utilize QuickBooks, Deltek Costpoint, and related accounting software to manage project financials, generate reports, and ensure compliance with DCAA standards. Identify process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred). 3–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance roles; prior experience with government contractors strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Deltek Costpoint required; experience with other DCAA-compliant accounting systems a plus. Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR, and DCAA requirements. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. Compliance: Ensuring adherence to DCAA, FAR, and GAAP requirements during audits and reviews. Timeliness: Meeting all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines. Efficiency: Reducing processing times for invoices, payroll, and reporting. Support: Providing reliable financial data to management and project teams to aid decision-making.
