    Temporary HR Generalist

    Position Summary

    This will be a temporary 6 to 9 month position.

     

    The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing day-to-day HR support in various functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, training, and compliance. This role partners with employees and management to foster a positive work environment and ensure HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented.

    Principle Responsibilities

    + Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, interviews, and new hire orientation.

    + Support employee relations efforts by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

    + Administer benefits programs, including open enrollment, employee inquiries, and compliance.

    + Maintain HR records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

    + Assist with performance management processes and employee development initiatives.

    + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.

    + Participate in HR projects, process improvements, and policy development.

    Qualification Requirements

    Credentials/Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.

    + HR Certification preferred.

    + Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.

    + Strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.

    + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

    + Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Demonstrated exposure to and execution of recruitment processes along with the ability to evaluate and select talent.

    + Ability to handle all situations in a consistent, professional, and confidential manner.

    + Knowledge of Human Resource procedures, policies, and legislation.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

    + Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.

    + Possesses the ability to define problems, evaluate situations and draw valid conclusions.

    + Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with a variety of people.

    + Able to communicate respectfully with others and work in a team environment.

    + Demonstrates strong organizational skills.

    + Must be self-motivated; able to work with little supervision.

    + Computer skills in Windows environment and HR tracking systems.

    + Possesses verbal, written communication, and listening skills.

    + Able to travel if requested.
