    Description

    **Job Purpose:** This is a supervisory position that is responsible for the daily clinical operations of the Crisis Resource Center (CRC) in correlation with the Director of Crisis Services. The responsibilities include participation in the hiring process, training, scheduling, and supervision of the CRC staff. It further includes responsibilities for maintaining facility and programmatic compliance in adherence with DHS 34 and DHS 83 and DHS 35 administrative codes.

    **Direct Reports** : Behavioral Health Technicians, Behavioral Health Specialist, Peer Recovery Specialists, and Master’s Level Clinicians

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Supervises the daily activities, coordinates resources, and sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion.

    + Provide at least 1 hour of supervision monthly to staff and additional supervision as needed

    + Maintain records of supervision

    + Complete/approve timecards and monitor payroll as needed

    + Monitor attendance and provide disciplinary action as needed

    + Support on boarding and onsite training for new staff as needed

    + Provide ongoing support and training for staff throughout employment

    + Oversee the clinical needs and treatment plans for all CRC clients.

    + Facilitates partnerships with HMOs and completes HMO authorization to ensure financial coverage for CRC clients.

    + clinical oversight of daily operations from admission to discharge for CRC clients.

    + Audits and updates documentation and program compliance. Ensure CRC is ready for audits from county and state.

    + Provides trainings to staff to ensure staff are meeting program standards for documentation.

    + Assists the Staff Development Manager with the onboarding of new employees to ensure compliance with state licensure.

    + Provides 1:1 and group supervision to new and current employees as needed.

    + Facilitates relationships with graduate schools to support intern programs. Supervises clinical interns as needed.

    + Assists the Director of Crisis Services in establishing new referral sources and continuing to cultivate relationships with hospitals, case management agencies, and the criminal justice system.

    + Works with Director of Crisis Services on expansion opportunities for the CRC program.

    + Partners with the CRC Management team to oversee the scheduling of all CRC staff, including overtime management and shift coverage. This also includes tracking of attendance.

    + Participates in on-call services for CRC.

    + Serves as a liaison with the various program customers to ensure timely facilitation of admission, authorization for payment and any other necessary customer service provisions.

    + Leads administrative and clerical functions, including answering of phones, assurance of timely and thorough documentation, and medical records management.

    + Provides assistance to the Crisis Director in collaboration with the MCFI Foundation staff with timely completion of any reporting necessary to foundations and other funding sources.

    + Works closely with and provides assistance to CRC program evaluator. Disseminates data to interested stakeholders as needed.

    + Works with Property Maintenance staff to continually assess the facility for necessary repairs and upkeep of the facility and its furnishings. Ensures that all repairs and replacements are performed in a timely manner.

    + Works to ensure that CRC is a warm, recovery-oriented environment that replicates a home-like environment.

    + Assists the Crisis Director with planning and adherence to annual budget.

    + Schedules and coordinates menu planning and grocery/supply orders.

    + Manages petty cash funds for CRC.

    + Reviews, signs off of, and submits Crisis Plans to Milwaukee County as appropriate.

    + Reviews and tracks census of CRC locations and provides data to Milwaukee County and other community partners as directed.

    + Creates a summary of current clients, CRC needs and recent referrals each Friday for weekend staff to ensure smooth weekend operations.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    + Performs human resources responsibilities for employees which includes onboarding, training, coaching on performance, completes performance reviews and overall employee morale. Recommends hiring, terminations, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action decisions and terminations. Reviews and approves accurate report of time.

    + Responsible for ensuring that personal actions, and actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the program funders, contracts, and CFI business.

    + This position is responsible for the supervision and safety of clients in a crisis setting. As such, this position must be able to observe and assist client’s activities, detect areas of danger, and distinguish when consumers who are non-communicative are in need of personal cares, assist consumers in performing tasks that require fine motor skills and converse clearly with consumers and other people in the community on a frequent basis.

    Qualifications

    **Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and Credentials:** _(Where appropriate,_ _education_ _and/or_ _experience_ _may_ _be_ _substituted)_

    **Minimum Required Education:** Master's Degree is required in the field of Social Work, Counseling, or related Human Services Field

    Minimum Required Experience:

    + Minimum of 2 years' experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness; experience with adults undergoing a psychiatric crisis. A minimum of 1 year’s supervisory experience is preferred but not required.

    Required License/Certification/Registration:

    Issued By Governing Body (if applicable): Licensure in social work or professional counseling is preferred but not required.

     

    **Travel Type:** Less than 10%

    **Required Valid Driver’s License:** Valid Wisconsin driver’s license

    **Required Auto Insurance:** Vehicle liability insurance in accordance with Agency policy

    + Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.

    + Knowledge of community resources available to consumers in the Milwaukee County area.

    + Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing.

    + Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in Spanish is preferred but not required.

    + Must be able to assist clients with activities of daily living, such as shopping, cleaning, and cooking.

    Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:

    **Physical Requirements:** On occasion must be able to move, transport, position, push/pull and/ or lift objects and/or equipment weighing at least up to 50 pounds a distance of 450 feet. Must have the ability to climb at least two flights of stairs.

    **Visual Acuity:** The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.

    **Working Conditions:** Work is performed largely at the Crisis Resource Center, a fast-paced office environment, utilizing many office appliances including a personal computer. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and average at least 40 hours a week. This position requires participation in reoccurring ‘on-call’ duties and flexibility in daily work schedule to adequately meet program needs, which may include evenings or weekends.
