    Must be able to read par stock lists, menus and chemical labels.

    POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Physical Activity:

    Frequently lifts objects of up to 50 pounds, i.e. dishes or food items.

    Upper Extremity:

    Must be able to work in warm and humid environment (sometimes exceeding 100°F) as well as walk-in coolers and freezers.

    Must be able to push/pull tray delivery trucks and food carts.

     

    *

    Push/Pull/Lift/Carry:

    The position requires the employee to be standing or walking 80% of each day worked.

    PART TWO:FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

    Position Objective

    *

     

    Assists in maintaining a clean and sanitary work area and assists cooks as needed.

     

    *

    Performance Expectation

    * Performs assigned cleaning duties.

     

    *

    Daily duties include: -thoroughly sweep and mop kitchen floors

    * Keeps storage areas neat and orderly.

    * Stock shelves, rotating and dating inventory.

    * Participates on the evening meal and clean up.

    * Operates dish machine following the meal.

    * Assists co-workers in a variety of duties, i.e. cleaning, food preparation, special functions.
