Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Job Description

This bonus-eligible position involves performing a variety of press brake operations, typically on steel, aluminum, or stainless-steel plates. This role offers opportunities to work either the Day Shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) or the Swing Shift (2:15 PM to 10:45 PM), from Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

+ Select multi-purpose and general-purpose brake dies and punches.

+ Set dies and punches, stops, and adjust ram for varying plate thickness.

+ Plan the sequence of multiple pass operations for a series of bends and other fabricating operations on complicated sections, making all allowances for parts fitting together at welding and convenience in assembly, as required.

+ Perform periodic preventive maintenance.

+ Instruct and direct less experienced operators when necessary.

+ Follow established safety protocols, including the use of PPE, to help maintain a safe working environment.

+ Keep the work area clean and organized.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to develop press brake setups, bend sequencing, and assign tooling for new or revised products.

+ Basic math and measurement skills.

+ Strong blueprint reading skills.

+ Ability to identify different types of materials.

+ Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, and levels.

+ Skilled usage of tools like pliers, crescent wrenches, calculators, Allen wrenches, drills, and squares.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Dependability, honesty, and integrity.

+ A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to use time productively, working with minimal supervision both individually and as part of a team.

+ Ability to work overtime as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with shear, press brake, tape measure, fabrication, punch press, and machine operation.

+ Knowledge of sheet metal, setup, and blueprint reading.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35360.00 - $52000.00/yr.
