Modeling and Simulation Engineer

The Opportunity:

Your combination of people skills and logistics expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. We're looking for a modeling and simulation engineer to identify new engineering tools and environments, technology, techniques, methodology, and sof tware to enhance systems and operations. As a modeling and simulation engineer, you'll develop analytical reports to enhance tactical and strategic survivability and lethality decisions via quantitative and qualitative techniques, and utilize simulation tools to analyze system alternatives and develop recommendations to address mission effectiveness, vulnerability, and cost.

As a modeling and simulation engineer on our team, you'll have the chance to assess and evaluate MI systems and techniques using computer-based analytical tools, Digital Twins, and additional in-house tools. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize MI training systems. You'll directly impact the Army's mission by helping to determine what system attributes and operational tactics improve survivability and effectiveness in simulated environments. The analyses you perform will help the acquisition community make more informed investment decisions pertaining to future electronic warfare systems. You'll develop your skills in critical thinking, data analytics, and operations analysis while gaining experience in constructive modeling and simulation of combat operations. You Have:

+ 5+ years of experience with scripting or programming languages, including C, C++, MATLAB, or Python

+ 3+ years of experience performing operational analysis or modeling and simulation for the Department of Defense (DoD)

+ Ability to leverage problem-solving expertise to overcome engineering or code development challenges

+ Ability to distill, summarize, and articulate complex technical insights and findings

+ Ability to work in a dynamic team environment

+ TS / SCI clearance

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS

Nice If You Have:

+ 8+ years of experience with data analytics or sof tware development

+ Experience with the federal government, the Intelligence Community ( IC ) , the DoD, or FEDSIM programs

+ Experience with C++, Python, Git version control, and Linux operating systems

+ Knowledge of ITASE, STK, or MBSE

+ Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics ( STEM ) field

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
