    Position Overview

    **Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE)** has an opening for a dynamic Drainage Engineer Intern in our growing Design Engineering Services Group. You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects.

    **Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers** seamlessly transitions solutions from design to construction through the collaborative efforts of Design Engineering, Design Management, Proposals, Estimating, and Integrated Project Controls.     Location

     

    This position is based in our Lone Tree, CO office.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop Water resources/drainage design concepts using AutoCAD

    + Develop presentation exhibits using AutoCAD

    + Investigate alternate intersection/interchange concepts

    Qualifications

    + Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree with a focus on hydraulics or hydrology courses

    + GPA above 3.0 preferred

    + Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel.

    + Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done.

    + Good written and verbal communication skills.

    + Coursework in transportation, and AutoCAD software

    + Be willing to fully participate in job assignments at the job site, district office or department to which the intern is assigned

    Other Requirements:

    • Regular, reliable attendance

    • Work productively and meet deadlines timely

    • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment

    • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.

    • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

     

    Base Compensation: $20.00/hr - $24.50/hr

     

    (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
