    Summary This position is part of the Office of Science - Berkeley Site Office, Department of Energy. As a Business Division Director, you will be responsible for the development, operations, and modification of all internal administrative processes and procedures. Responsibilities As a Business Division Director (Official Title: Supervisory Business Analyst), you will: Plan, direct, and oversee the work of the Business Division, including setting priorities, resolving complex problems, and evaluating employee performance. Manage and coordinate contract administration and resource management functions for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) contract. Serve as a subject matter expert in business, finance, contract, and administrative matters for senior management and other officials. Provide input on budget formulation, execution guidance, manage budgetary reports, and approve long-term program implementation plans. Implement Departmental policies, ensuring adherence to administrative policies, procedures, and regulations. Direct the development of property and equipment needs, coordinate purchases and inventory, and manage office space, equipment, and logistics support. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: Coordinating large-scale contracts, including negotiating terms, evaluating contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations; Providing input and recommendations for financial management processes, including budget formulation, execution, and providing expert fiscal guidance for significant contracts or programs. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Limit your resume to no more than two (2) pages.
