Job Summary:
As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will repair, install, and maintain your assigned mechanical systems equipment in good condition.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
+ Keeps supervision informed of problems, conditions, and status of assigned work.
+ Makes emergency repairs to building systems while on single coverage shifts.
+ Supports work with documentation.
+ Assists maintenance mechanics and skilled tradesman with troubleshooting, repair, construction and installation of building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
+ Regularly performs and assists with the preventive maintenance of equipment, checking oil levels, belts, temperature and fluid levels, air pressures, cleaning equipment, changing filters, etc.
+ Makes a variety of repairs to equipment and facilities as required, such as beds, replacing light bulbs, painting, grounds, clearing drains and other general maintenance.
+ May be assigned to move furniture and equipment.
+ Investigates/identifies and repairs minor malfunction of equipment and utilities. Orders parts to complete assigned work orders.

REQUIREMENTS
+ High school graduate
+ Skills and abilities in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
+ 3 years general maintenance experience with proven competency in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and carpentry.
+ Boiler operator license
+ Must obtain a High-Pressure Boiler Operator License within 2 ½ years of the hire date if assigned to the boiler house
