    SUMMARY OF JOB

    Provides physical therapy interventions to help individuals maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and functioning, enabling optimal performance and enhancing health, well being and quality of life across the lifespan.

    CONNECTING TO MISSION:

    To perpetuate the mission of the hospital through the provision of efficient health services directed toward maximizing patient function and independence in a caring and compassionate manner.

    RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

    + Provides documentation of completion of a two-year specialized program for physical therapy assistants from an accredited institution that leads to an Associate’s Degree

    + Possess a PA state license in good standing and meets State statutory regulations

    + Ability to effectively communicate and present self to people in a courteous, tactful, poised and professional manner.

    LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

    + Possess a PA state license in good standing and meets State statutory regulations

    + 2 hour of annual stroke education for applicable PTA staff
