Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities Assists the Director, Human Resources in administration of a NAF Personnel Program, specifically human resources functional area of benefits and staffing/recruitment. Provides expertise, guidance, consultation, and support on a wide variety of benefit and staffing/recruitment issues to management officials, supervisors, and employees in the following areas: benefits (medical, dental, life, flexible spending accounts, STD, long-term care) insurance, retirement and 401(k) plans, leave programs (Family Medical Leave [FMLA], Family Friendly Leave [FFLA], Paid Parental Leave [PPL], Leave Donation, Parental Bereavement Leave), military buyback, retirement buyback, arrears, qualifying events, terminating benefits, portability, Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights (USERRA), workers' compensation, staffing and recruiting, pay administration, etc. Performs a wide variety of duties which require the application of the full range of human resources theories, principles, methods, and techniques. Advises and assists management on a continuing basis to find sound solutions to problems in support of personnel needs of the organization. Explores alternatives to accommodate management needs in the area of human resources administration. Disseminates factual information on which recommendations, decisions, or other actions can be based; explains the basis for recommendations and actions. Responsible for preparing personnel directives, special reports, and correspondence. Ensures that internal management control programs over personnel operations are in compliance with all current and applicable regulations. Provides meaningful connections through customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Four years of substantial experience working in human resources. Must possess a broad knowledge of personnel procedures, policies, and practices. Must be skilled in written and oral communication. Knowledge of Marine Corps NAF policies and proceudres preferred. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
