Fleet Accounts Service & Training Manager

Summary: The FAST Manager leads technical service and training for national fleet accounts, ensuring product reliability, customer satisfaction, and technician development. This role combines leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and customer-facing training with regular travel to support accounts nationwide.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Lead and develop TPM technicians, ensuring high-quality training materials, technical support, and warranty process execution.
+ Set and monitor departmental goals and metrics.
+ Lead training initiatives for internal staff, National Accounts, Distributors, Dealers, and End Users, ensuring consistent product knowledge and technical proficiency.
+ Provide technical support and training throughout the product lifecycle, from development through after-sale support.
+ Assist with warranty claim reviews, processing, and resolution to maximize recovery and reduce disputes.
+ Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by offering training, commissioning, and on-site support when required.
+ Prepare and review repair estimates; communicate technical details and costs clearly to customers.
+ Support creation and implementation of service bulletins, alerts, and upgrades.
+ Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing on product improvements and feedback.
+ Contribute to service revenue growth strategies while maintaining customer satisfaction.
+ Perform and demonstrate equipment repairs and installations in shop or field environments as part of training or customer support.
+ Ensure accurate documentation of service activities, including training records, maintenance work orders, field reports, and customer feedback for quality systems.
+ Promote and ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
+ Participate in ISO Quality Program through accurate documentation of complaints, warranty claims, and corrective/preventive actions.
Job Requirements:
+ Must have a thorough knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines plus the ability to perform engine diagnosis and repair. Requires the ability to install/setup pumps and related pumping equipment. Must be proficient in applying the operating principles of industrial hydraulic pumps & systems, to include AC / DC electronics, pump systems, including diagnosing, troubleshooting and repair.
+ With the proper training, certifications (where required), experience and/or knowledge, the individual will operate the following equipment and tools: Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklifts), welding equipment, parts washer, power washer, hand tools, and various pneumatic and electric tools, drills and drill press and other Specialized machine shop equipment.
+ High School diploma or GED is required.
+ Trade school graduates preferred.
+ One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Positions requiring driving responsibilities or operation of Company vehicles must meet background check standards of their motor vehicle records in accordance with TPM policy.
