    Required Skills:

    Product Design Engineer Responsibilities:

    1. Developing hardware systems for VR, AR and New Technology Initiatives.

    2. Exploring and developing concepts through prototyping and into mass-production consumer electronics.

    3. Working as part of a cross functional team and collaborating in domains other than mechanical engineering.

    4. Contributing to mechanical solutions.

    5. Modeling, building, testing and refining prototypes and characterization test systems.

    6. Working across the full product development cycle from concept inception to shipping product.

    7. Collaborating and managing work with Asia-based supply chain.

    8. Push state of the art technologies and approaches to solving complex mechanical problems.

    9. Position requires domestic and international travel 20% of the time.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    10. Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a Product Design Engineer-related occupation

    11. Position requires 36 months of experience in the following:

    12. Mechanical engineering fundamentals such as prototyping skills, CAD and manufacturing process knowledge

    13. Thermal Design, Design for Reliability and Failure Analysis

    14. Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)

    15. Statistical tolerance analysis techniques

    16. Functional dimensioning

    17. GD&T and 3D or 2D CAD

    18. Testing and analysis such as FEA, Simulation or Design of Experiments

    19. High volume manufacturing techniques such as stamping, machining, 3D printing or injection molding

    Public Compensation:

    $168,560/year to $189,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
