**About the Opportunity** :
PERA is currently seeking a Contribution & Employer Support Specialist in the Account Information Management Division.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Oversee registration and access to PERA’s secure online employer reporting tool.
+ Manage the demographic information maintained on all members and employers who contribute to a retirement plan administered by PERA.
+ Support operational and fiscal processes by performing data analysis and transaction adjustments.
+ Process check payments for daily deposit.
+ Provide technical guidance to participating employers via phone and email.
This position is not eligible for telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) . The employee will be required to be onsite at PERA’s office building in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Minimum Qualifications

Experience must include the following:
+ Data entry and proofreading skills sufficient to input and update information to member accounts in a database and record keeping system, and perform detailed review of data to find and correct discrepancies.
+ Experience with spreadsheets sufficient to perform functions using software such as Microsoft Excel to download and input data and modify spreadsheets.
+ Basic math skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
+ Database management sufficient to accurately maintain electronic files for efficient organization and retrieval of information.
+ Communication skills sufficient to provide tactful, prompt, courteous, and accurate benefit information to stakeholders on the phone, in-person, e-mail or written correspondence.
+ Ability to work effectively, efficiently, independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Business or Finance.
+ Knowledge of public pension plans.
+ Knowledge of the provisions of Minnesota Government Data Practices.
Physical Requirements
Requires occasional lifting and carrying of articles such as file folders, ledgers, and small office equipment. Although a sedentary job is defined as one that involves sitting, a certain amount of movement is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
