    Job Description

    Product Development, Science and Technology (PDS&T) is the intersection of technical excellence and business impact. We are champions of product innovation and process knowledge to solve AbbVie's most complex technical challenges to successfully support late-phase products, commercialize our pipeline, ensure the quality and efficacy of our products, make a direct impact on patient well-being.

     

    During a summer in PDS&T, an intern would own a focused technical project to gain software development skills, helping design and implement a change to one of our products. The intern would be placed in the Allergan Aesthetics Body Contouring group.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    + Assisting with activities associated with the development and implementation of changes to commercial body contouring medical device products

    + Helping to consolidate, design, and recommend solutions

    + Supporting development of engineering and unit tests

    + Learning standards and tools for software development engineers

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a bachelor's in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering other related field of study

    + Must be returning to university the semester following internship

    + Expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Microsoft Excel or other database experience is a plus

    + Exposure to coding, data mining, and analysis

    + Familiar with Visual Studio and Git

    + Cross functional collaboration skill

    + Public presentation skills
