    PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Commercial Real Estate Operations and Servicing Specialist at our Irving, Texas service center. The CRE Operation and Servicing Specialist is responsible for coordinating, managing, and facilitating the operations and servicing process for commercial loans. This role involves working closely with lenders, borrowers, attorneys, third party companies, and other stakeholders to ensure all servicing and documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

    + Closing and On Boarding Servicing Support:

    + Coordinate the collections of required commercial loan closings documents, including pre-closing, closing, and post-closing documents.

    + Review and monitor closing documents and tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    + Act as a liaison between borrowers, attorneys, third party companies, lenders, and internal departments.

    + Monitor closing checklists, tasks and deadlines to ensure timely execution and funding.

    + Confirm that all prerequisite conditions precedent for closing has been met.

    + Process funding requests and disbursements in accordance with closing instructions.

    + Maintain and update loan files, records, and systems with accurate data.

    + Assist with resolving issues or discrepancies that arise during the closing process.

    + Ensure proper recording of legal documents and executed closing packages is stored and filed accordingly.

    + Support audits, quality control reviews, and compliance reporting as needed.

    + System & Tool Management:

    + Maintain CRM and commercial tools (e.g., Jack Henry , Silverlake, Synergy).

    + Support user training, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    + Compliance & Contract Support:

    + Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

    *This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity.*

    Qualifications

    Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

     

    + Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is strongly preferred.

    + A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a financial/commercial servicing setting, with at least (2) years of experience as an underwriter and/or Portfolio Manager in a financial setting, is required.

    + Strong knowledge of Jack Henry CRE loan servicing products or RealInsite is highly desirable.

    + Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial statements, rent rolls, and other reports with ease.

    + Knowledge of PenFed structure, products, policies and procedures preferred.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

     

    Supervisory Responsibility

     

    This positon will not supervise employees.

     

    Licenses and Certifications

     

    There are no additional certifications required.

     

    Work Environment

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

     

    *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*

     

    Travel

     

    The ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
