Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a **Microbiologist near North Sioux City, SD.**

Contract to Hire

**Shift:** Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

**Compensation:** DOE

Responsibilities

+ Develops, validates, implements, and documents new capabilities for routine testing laboratories or clients

+ Plans, executes and writes reports for projects

+ Identifies, prepares, and presents technical training for all levels of the internal organization

+ Interfaces with clients, as required, to present and explain results of research studies or validations

+ Identifies and evaluates emerging technologies and food testing trends to ensure the company offers the most current testing to its customer base

+ Assists in determination of appropriate testing method for laboratory clients

+ Interfaces with vendors, equipment suppliers, outside agencies and professional organizations as necessary

+ Ensures compliance to ISO 17025 standards are maintained

Qualifications

+ Advanced studies in food science and/or microbiological analysis

+ Bachelor's degree in food science or related field required

+ Proven ability to design and conduct research activities within the food industry

+ Demonstrated leadership and team building competencies; strong project management and complex problem solving abilities.

+ Ability to contribute effectively in a cross-functional team setting and to build effective relationships with team and customer.

+ Excellent oral and written skills
