Required Skills:

Production Security Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deploy network automation systems and network security services for our production network.

2. Build experience with Backbone, Data Center, and Network Infrastructure Engineering teams and their designs to align security service capabilities to their requirements.

3. Develop and optimize tools used to secure network infrastructure, ensure integrity of device management actions, and authorize device level network access.

4. Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network sourced events.

5. Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to service impacting events.

6. Be an active participant in deep technical discussions related to network device security and standards.

7. Develop and maintain security, consistency, and efficiency within the network infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:

8. Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation

9. Requires 2 years of experience in the following:

10. Developing and understanding network device configuration for at least two vendors (Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Brocade, Ciena, Infinera, Linux, etc)

11. Configuration and maintenance of network devices, and network management systems, and applications such as web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage systems, and messaging systems

12. Coding in Go and Python in order to automate network device interactions, including configuration management, device management, event logging and controlling of device access

13. Configuring and maintaining application programming interfaces for interoperability between devices, services and applications

14. Networking with TCP/IP in a mixed ipv4 ipv6 environment with strong understanding of ipv6 networking, routing, and switching

15. Linux / Unix OS operations

16. Analytics and troubleshooting of networks, including design, BGP, MPLS or other routing protocols and

17. Experience with high performance and high volume query engines for working with very large datasets in distributed computing environments

Public Compensation:

$174,978/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
