Farmingdale State College invites applications for a Staff Assistant in the Office of Transfer Services. This role is a key point of contact for prospective and admitted transfer students, guiding them through every stage of the transfer process. The successful candidate must possess excellent verbal, organizational, and analytical skills, as well as have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them according to established deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

+ Support students with applications, transfer credit evaluations, document submission, registration, and financial aid.

+ Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of the transfer experience to ensure a smooth transition.

+ Represent the college at recruitment events both on and off campus.

+ Collaborate with transfer services and pipeline schools on student events and related initiatives.

+ Participate in transfer services calling campaigns.

This position requires flexibility, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and off-campus assignments, as well as extensive recruitment travel throughout New York State. This role also requires the ability to lift and transport admissions materials.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Bachelor's degree.

+ Experience working with computer software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar programs).

+ Excellent verbal, organizational, and analytical skills.

+ Possess a valid driver's license, be comfortable driving long distances and navigating the five boroughs, and be able to lift and transport admissions materials.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Knowledge of admissions, transfer, and financial aid process.

+ Professional experience working on a college campus.

+ At least one year of professional experience in college admissions or related area working with students.

+ Experience with Banner, Slate, or other Student Information System (SIS).

+ Bilingual.

+ Graduate of Farmingdale State College.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time UUP position.

+ For the first 10 working days, beginning Monday, September 29, 2025, and ending Wednesday, October 8, 2025, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.

+ CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: Open Until Filled

+ SALARY: $51,261+ $4,000 in downstate location pay = $55,261 Total Compensation.
