    About The Role:

    As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for providing supervising building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sized buildings.

     

    This job is a part of our Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.

    What You'll Do:

    + Provide formal supervision to employees. Supervise the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Be responsible for the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

    + Schedule and be responsible for the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed!

    + Coordinate and lead facility repairs and maintenance with the help of the Lead Engineer by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors!

    + Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.

    + Lead and give to capital projects by assisting with planning and execution, coordinating project schedules, supervising vendor relationships, and preparing operating budgets and variance reports to ensure efficient and cost-effective project delivery.

    + Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal laws. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.

    + Handle environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.

    + Be responsible for vendor relationships and billing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.

    + Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety standard processes.

    + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

    + Apply knowledge of own subject area and how own subject area integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

    + Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

    + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred with 3-5 years of validated experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required.

    + Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.

    + Ability to guide the exchange of critical, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

    + Leadership skills to empower team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job subject area and department.

    + Strong ability to lead tasks effectively with a curious approach! Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

    This Facility Manager position is part of a large team which includes Museum leadership. Reporting into this role is the CBRE Engineering Team, the Securitas Team and the ACP Cleaning Team. The Facility Manager is responsible for managing these relationships and working with the Museum to ensure that any opportunities and/or problems regarding staffing are addressed. While directly reporting to the Museum’s Managing Director, the Facility Manager reports into the Museum’s office of the CFAO (Chief Finance and Administrative Officer).

     

    As a non-profit corporation, the Museum is always seeking to leverage its financial resources to the maximum extent practicable. To that end, the Facilities Manager will often be expected to seek multiple bids for goods and services and to ensure that contractors and vendors provide safe, fair and timely work when in the building.

Given this reality and the fact that the Museum is a place for children and families, the Facility Manager is expected to hold the highest standards for personal conduct and leadership.

    CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $93,500 annually [or $44.95 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $104,000 annually [or $50.00 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
