    Job Description

    South Central College is seeking an unlimited, full time, MDLT/Phlebotomy Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires being part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. Classes are held on two campuses, located in North Mankato and Faribault, MN. This position is based on the North Mankato campus.

     

    Under direct supervision of the Dean of Health Sciences, the MDLT/Phlebotomy Instructor is responsible for instructing students to achieve specific objectives based upon established curriculum, programmatic, and institutional accreditation. The faculty member will prepare engaging lectures and practical demonstrations for students with the MLT and Phlebotomy programs and advise students in accordance with the MSCF contract.

    Salary Range:

    $43,067 - $71,893

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Bachelor degree

    + Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a medical laboratory technologist/scientist

    + Once year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post-secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

    + Medical Laboratory Technology/Scientist certification by one of the following: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), AAB Board of Registry (ABOR), or American Medical Technologist (AMT).
