    The Formulation Analyst II is a mid-level position responsible for supporting the Bulk Buffer, Reagents and Bead production laboratories by following good documentation practices (cGDP) and relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs). Complete assigned tasks and ensure all activities are compliant with the company’s quality, safety and departmental policies and standards. Apply analytical skills or scientific methods or operational processes to perform activities with a moderate degree of supervision.

     

    This position reports to the Reagent Manufacturing Supervisor and is part of the Reagent manufacturing production located in Lodi Ca and will be an on-site role.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

    + Support Bulk Buffer, Reagents, Calibration Dye and Bead production laboratories while working safely with hazardous chemicals, following all safety policies, and solving typical problems independently based on previous experiences.

    + Perform various tasks including liquid bead formulation, buffer formulation, Dye Formulation, bead dropping, testing (pH, Moisture, Conductivity, Density, Spectrophotometer and lyophilization), and real-time documentation to ensure accuracy. Perform verification and review of peer activities.

    + Train others, monitor equipment, maintain laboratory housekeeping, recommend, and implement efficiency improvements, assist in qualifying new methods and instruments, and troubleshoot equipment and assay failures.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

    + High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 2-4 years of related work experience or AA or Technical Trade Degree with 1-2 years of work experience

    + Must have prior laboratory experience following cGMP and cGLPs, FDA and ISO standards. Must be able to follow directions, able to understand SOPs and demonstrate problem solving skills. Proficiency in computer systems such as Word, Excel, SAP, MES and e-mail

    + Has a good understanding of how the team integrates with others to achieve objectives, Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within discipline.

     

    Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

     

    + Must be able to lift 25 Lb Must be able to stand for several hours. Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions. Ability to transport heavy materials up to 400 Lb with the appropriate machine or equipment assistance. Ability to work in a controlled environment requiring PPE.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences. Experience working in a GMP/ISO manufacturing environment. Experience using analytical scales, spectrophotometer, dialysis, lyophilization, pipettes, and working with hazardous chemicals.

    The hourly range for this role is $26.10-$34.66 . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

     

    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
