Material Handler I

+ Operate a forklift or other equipment to transport materials within the facility

+ Inspect the forklifts daily and follow defined procedures and practices

+ Operate equipment safely and effectively

+ Know the basic functions of the ERP system

Material Handler II

+ All Material Handler I responsibilities

+ Use best judgment to resolve issues or suggest solutions

+ Join project teams and occasionally lead parts of projects

+ Solve basic to moderately complex problems

Material Handler III

+ All Material Handler I & II responsibilities

+ Cross-train in different areas as needed

+ Train new employees or employees transitioning from other areas

+ Access information within the ERP system and perform transactions as needed

+ Suggest and implement improvements to existing equipment and/or designs to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity

Qualifications:** ** 

Material Handler I

+ Can operate or learn to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts

+ Can work in a team environment and communicate clearly

+ Can identify and resolve basic problems

Material Handler II

+ All Material Handler I requirements

+ One to two years’experience in material handling

+ Cross-trained in multiple operations

+ Can train other employees on established processes

Material Handler III

+ All Material Handler I & II requirements

+ Two years’ experience in material handling and are forklift certified

Other skills

Material Handler I & II

+ Can actively solve problems

+ Display attention to detail and accuracy

Material Handler III

+ Experience in root cause problem solving (5 Whys, 8D, PDCA, etc.)

+ Can effectively train other employees on work instructions

+ Experience using SAP or an equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics 365)
