    Basic Job Functions:

    This position will be responsible for general security at our plant to include functions shown below with the expectation that all necessary shifts, including holidays and weekendsmay be worked.

     

    + Control all visitor and contractor traffic entrance and exit the plant.

    + Train and communicate safety programs and procedures to visitors, vendors, contractors.

    + Manage all in-coming & out-going loads & traffic

    + Use and maintenance of gate passes.

    + Issue & log shipping documentation in system

    + Issue PPE and visitor passes and ensure return of same upon departure.

    + Communicate emergency procedures in case of fire, spill, accidents, and weather.

    + Stock and clean guard shack.

    + Manage UPS/FedEx shipments & deliver mail to office daily.

    + Environmental awareness of plant, property and traffic. Notify Safety Coord and Hazmat.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices,procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
