    Overview

     

    Element Materials Technology is seeking a dynamic and results-driven **Business Development Manager (BDM)** to support our Materials Testing operations in the MT East division. This role will drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen customer relationships. **Experience in Materials Testing within the Nuclear, Additive Manufacturing, or Defense sectors is preferred.**

     

    Ideal location: Enfield, CT area

    Responsibilities

    + **Client Acquisition:** Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Nuclear, Additive Manufacturing, or Defense markets to expand Element’s customer base.

    + **Account Management:** Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.

    + **Market Strategy:** Develop and execute sales strategies that align with Element’s overall business objectives while supporting growth across the MT East division labs.

    + **Quoting & Proposals:** Collaborate with technical teams to prepare accurate, competitive quotes and proposals that meet client specifications and industry standards.

    + **Cross-Selling:** Promote Element’s full suite of materials testing services, identifying opportunities for cross-lab and cross-service growth.

    + **Pipeline Management:** Track, report, and manage sales activities through Element’s CRM to ensure consistent progress toward revenue targets.

    + **Industry Engagement:** Represent Element at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to increase visibility and credibility within target markets.

    Skills / Qualifications

    + Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably in materials testing or adjacent technical fields (defense, nuclear, advanced manufacturing).

    + Strong understanding of destructive and non-destructive testing methods, standards, and applications.

    + Experience engaging with customers in regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, defense, nuclear) is highly desirable.

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse industries and decision-making levels.

    + Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently while contributing to team success.

    + Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Must be able to travel.
