    By joining our team of traffic operations specialists, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to high-profile special events in the Southern California region for years to come. You’ll support projects to plan and operate Intelligent Transportation Systems on freeways and arterials for upcoming special events. In doing so, you’ll leverage existing connections and establish new ones throughout the region in the traffic operations space. You’ll inventory agency capabilities, establish operating procedures, and interface with others to develop comprehensive, bespoke special event plans. Field work is a substantial component of the assignment.

     

    * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

    * At least 5 years of professional expertise with traffic operations

    * Registered Civil Engineer and/or Registered Traffic Engineer license preferred

    * Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills

    * Demonstrated proficiency with operating arterial and/or freeway traffic management systems (e.g. iNET, ActiveITS, Transparity/MyCity, Centracs)

    * Demonstrated proficiency with traffic signal optimization strategies

    * Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely with a minimum of jargon

    * Experience with AutoCAD and/or Adobe Illustrator, or comparable programs
