    Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join an accounting team. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment disbursements. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and a passion for process improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Review, verify, and process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

    + Ensure invoices are properly coded and approved in accordance with company policies.

    + Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.

    + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or issues with vendors.

    + Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate W-9 documentation is on file.

    + Assist in month-end closing by preparing AP reports and account reconciliations.

    + Communicate with internal departments to resolve invoice or payment questions.

    + Maintain organized and accurate AP files and records.

    + Support year-end 1099 reporting and audits as needed

    Requirements

    + 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.

    + Strong understanding of AP principles, general ledger impact, and vendor management.

    + Proficiency in accounting or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

    + High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

    + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

    Preferred:

    + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    + Experience with multi-entity or multi-currency AP environments.

    + Familiarity with expense reporting platforms (e.g., Concur, Expensify).
