Description

Our client in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is seeking an experienced FP& A Analyst to join their dynamic finance team. This role is critical for driving strategic financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have prior CPG industry experience and demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and business performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Financial Planning & Forecasting: Partner with business leaders to develop detailed budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans to support strategic initiatives.

+ Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze financial data related to revenue, costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights that drive business performance and growth.

+ Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial results and communicate findings to key stakeholders.

+ Business Partnering: Collaborate across departments—including sales, marketing, and operations—to ensure alignment between financial goals and business strategies.

+ Scenario Modeling: Build and evaluate financial models for investment opportunities, product launches, and cost optimization initiatives to inform strategic decisions.

+ Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare and present ad hoc financial reports and analysis requested by senior management to support critical decision-making.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and analysis workflows

Requirements

Job Requirements:

+ Experience: 3–5+ years of FP& A experience, with previous experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry required.

+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).

+ Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI) preferred.

+ Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and articulate insights and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders.

+ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with a proven ability to present financial information persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.

+ Team-Oriented: Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and guide decision-making across teams.
