    Senior Java Developer – Spring Boot / Reactive Systems

     

    Start Date: November 1st

     

    Employment Type: Contract- 12 months with potential extension

    Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with expertise in Spring Boot and Reactive Programming to support a major backend transformation initiative for a high-profile cruise activity platform. This role involves leading the development of scalable, customer-facing services that enhance guest experiences through personalized activity recommendations and streamlined reservation capabilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead the design and development of complex backend systems using Spring Boot, WebFlux, and asynchronous processing techniques

    + Build and enhance services that support both prepaid and non-payment activity reservations

    + Contribute to the development of a recommendation engine tailored to guest profiles, party composition, and dining preferences

    + Participate in a full system rewrite of a large-scale activity management platform

    Requirements

    Preferred Skills:

    + Strong hands-on experience with Reactive Java, WebFlux, and Spring Boot

    + Familiarity with MongoDB, DynamoDB, and AWS is a plus

    + Proven track record working on large-scale, customer-facing applications
