    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Parts Grinder to join our team with one opening on the 2nd shift and another on the 3rd shift. Flexibility is essential, as training may occur on the 1st or 2nd shift. Current shift times are 1st shift: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, 2nd shift: 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, Monday through Thursday. Future shift times will be 1st shift: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, 2nd shift: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and 3rd shift: 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform hand operations such as filing, deburring, cleaning, and disc grinding.

    + Use related tools to remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharp edges, or corners.

    + Smooth seams, joints, or burred surfaces using grinding or buffing wheels.

    + Assist production operators and transport raw materials and finished products.

    + Complete assigned work within the allotted time, ensuring it meets company quality standards.

    + Maintain work area and equipment to meet company 5S standards.

    + Report all variances to standards to the Manager.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in grinding, metalworking, and deburring.

    + Ability to use basic hand tools, including standard sheet metal fabrication tools such as calipers and gauges.

    + Basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator.

    + Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is advantageous.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, North Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
