CNC Lathe Machinist
Job Description
Join a dynamic machine shop specializing in custom gears, machined parts, and assembly for aerospace, defense, medical, commercial oil, power, and automotive industries as a setup machinist in Anaheim, CA.
Responsibilities
+ Read blueprints and check part dimensions with appropriate measuring instruments.
+ Accurately use measuring tools and understand necessary company procedures relevant to the position.
+ Perform in-process inspection of machined parts.
+ Communicate effectively and demonstrate proven problem-solving abilities.
+ Work collaboratively with the Supervisor and Quality Department to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in CNC lathe operation, particularly with Okuma CNCs.
+ Ability to make adjustments at the machine.
+ Previous experience with aerospace parts and inspection tools/methods, adhering to tolerances up to .0005''.
+ 2+ years' experience in a precision machining environment as an Operator or a minimum of 5 years for Setup roles.
+ Excellent knowledge of blueprint reading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Mastercam experience is a plus.
+ Experience in similar roles within the past 3-4 years.

Work Environment
This role operates in a clean, air-conditioned machine shop. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with expected hours ranging from 40 to 60 per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $35.00/hr.
