Job Title: Shipping Associate - 1st Shift - $17/hr!

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and efficient Shipping Associate to join our team. The role involves using a computer system to manage tickets for kitting and packing, and efficiently handling an average of 4-500 pieces per hour.

Responsibilities

+ Utilize computer systems with tickets to determine items to kit and pack.

+ Maintain an average of 4-500 pieces per hour, totaling approximately 14,000 pieces per week.

+ Report any inventory discrepancies to supervision promptly.

+ Ensure that the oldest dates are packed first.

+ Adhere to specific guidelines required for each customer.

+ Prohibit cell phone usage while working.

+ Log in and out of equipment upon task completion.

+ Share equipment with team members as required.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with inventory, packing, and picking.

+ Ability to lift 20 lbs consistently for an 8-hour workday.

+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

+ Proficient in computer usage and familiar with RF scanners.

+ Experience in shipping and receiving, inventory control, data entry, loading and unloading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous pick and pack experience.

+ Experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations.

+ Experience using RF scanners.

Work Environment

Work in a large 123,000 sq. ft. warehouse/distribution site with approximately 40 team members. The position is for the 1st shift, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime is rare and typically voluntary, usually scheduled on Saturdays. The dress code is flexible, allowing for casual attire like shorts and cut-offs, as long as it remains tasteful. Steel-toed shoes are not required. The hiring process includes a one-step interview.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perrysburg, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
