Job Title: Laser Operator

Job Description

As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating the laser machine and ensuring the correct program is being run. Your duties will include loading sheet metal into the machine and contributing to production tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Operate laser machine efficiently.

+ Ensure the correct program is being executed on the machine.

+ Load sheet metal into the machine accurately.

+ Contribute to overall production and machine operation tasks.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.

+ Experience in metalworking or hollow metal fabrication is preferred.

+ Proficiency with CNC manufacturing equipment is preferred.

+ Dexterity in handling manufacturing equipment, basic power tools, and machinery.

+ Ability to read and understand specification sheets, blueprints, and work orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to layout and load materials using basic math and handheld measuring tools.

+ Proficiency in utilizing computer output from CAD/CAM systems.

+ Capability to enter instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.

+ Ability to set up mills and lathes.

+ Knowledge and ability to maintain the machine in good working order.

+ Understanding of re-work procedures and finished product characteristics.

+ Knowledge and ability to perform lock out/tag out procedures.

Work Environment

This position requires working the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some overtime on Saturdays. Videos are available to provide a visual understanding of the work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
