CNC Programmer & Supervisor $30/hr!
Job Description
A local tool and die shop in Nashville is seeking a CNC Programmer/Lead to join their team. This role focuses on unique setups for each block, including 3D milling and hard milling. The position is a day-shift role (6:45 AM - 3:30 PM) and involves programming CNC machines and leading a team of CNC operators.
Responsibilities
+ Program CNC machines to perform cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and broaching of metallic and nonmetallic workpieces.
+ Utilize knowledge of machine tool capabilities, machinability of materials, and shop math.
+ Schedule all CNC work to be completed using job shop control software.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
+ Consult with the design department on CNC work.
+ Communicate with co-workers and project managers to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
+ Keep project managers informed of any scheduling problems that arise.
+ Inspect and measure parts as needed.
+ Work overtime and weekends as required (40-55 hrs/wk).
Essential Skills
+ 4 to 6 years of experience in CNC programming.
+ Experience in leading or supervising a team.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
+ Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office, Job Shop Control Software, and Estimating software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Mastercam, Solidworks, G code, PLC programming, and Fanuc.
+ Familiarity with machinery such as Mori Seiki, Okuma, and SmartCAM.
+ Understanding of machining processes including axis, lathe, and mill operations.
+ Knowledge of CMM programming and mechanical design.

Work Environment
The work environment is a tool & die manufacturing setting with office space available. Employees are required to wear safety toe shoes and safety glasses at all times in the shop area. This is not a CNC production job; the focus is on unique setups for each block, including 3D milling and hard milling. The position follows a Mon-Fri first shift schedule.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $68640.00/yr.
Benefits package that includes 401k, health insurance, paid holidays, and vacation time.
