    Job Title: Production Worker

    Job Description

    Production workers are responsible for monitoring machines that make chocolate and filling boxes with finished products. The role involves standing for the entire shift and requires workers to stay productive by cleaning or performing other tasks during slower periods. The job is generally slow-paced and includes mixing, batching, panning, and packing tasks. Workers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor chocolate-making machines and fill boxes with finished products.

    + Engage in cleaning or other productive tasks during downtime.

    + Mix, batch, pan, and pack products.

    + Operate machines, including changing over machines and troubleshooting.

    + Verify correct labeling on product boxes.

    + Measure and weigh products into pre-made boxes with liners.

    + Measure and pour ingredients into blenders or conches, following precise instructions.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in machine operation and food manufacturing.

    + Ability to pack, label, stack, move, mix, and blend.

    + Mechanical aptitude and experience with assembly and forklift operation.

    + At least 4 years of manufacturing experience, with recent work in a manufacturing plant.

    + Team player with the ability to stay busy during slow periods.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + At least 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred, food manufacturing experience is a plus.

    + Desire to advance within the company.

    + Ability to perform tasks such as packing, palletizing, visual inspection, and blending.

    + References must be completed.

    + Candidates should have experience in mixing or machine operation.

    + Candidates must not have food allergies and should avoid wearing jewelry, fake nails, or fake eyelashes.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a clean and well-lit food manufacturing facility. Workers must adhere to health and safety guidelines and wear hairnets, beard nets, steel-toed shoes, and lab coats. The facility is climate controlled, but temperatures can rise to 100 degrees due to machinery and ovens. Some packaging lines are in colder areas, approximately 52 degrees. Workers will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment. Shift times are as follows: 1st Shift: 6:30am-3:00pm, 2nd Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm, 3rd Shift: 10:30pm-7:00am.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
