Medical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking meticulous and dedicated individuals to join our team as Medical Assemblers. You will begin your journey in the coiling department, working within a cleanroom environment. Your primary responsibility will involve operating coil winding machines to assemble medical components. This role requires adaptability and a keen eye for detail, as you will be trained in various areas of the assembly process over time.

Responsibilities

+ Operate coil winding machines to assemble medical components.

+ Inspect and manipulate wires using microscopes for 30-50% of the day.

+ Sit and stand for extended periods, adapting to different positions as required.

+ Work in a cleanroom environment and adhere to gowning procedures.

+ Utilize small hand tools for assembly and inspection tasks.

+ Ensure precision and quality control throughout the assembly process.

+ Participate in cross-training across different assembly lines.

Essential Skills

+ 4-6+ months of experience in medical manufacturing or handling small parts.

+ Experience using a microscope for 4-6+ months.

+ Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.

+ Proficiency in coil winding and laser welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mechanical inclination, particularly useful in the housings area.

+ Good hand dexterity, beneficial for intricate assembly tasks.

+ Adaptability and willingness to be cross-trained in multiple areas.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean and well-maintained facility. Employees will work in a cleanroom setting, requiring specific gowning procedures. There are also non-cleanroom areas with more mechanical tasks. Both environments demand adaptability to varying noise levels and the necessity of wearing eye protection. The workplace offers a wellness room, a ping pong table in the break room, and a workout facility, enhancing the overall employee experience. Flexibility in sitting and standing is essential, as daily tasks vary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.78/hr.
