Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for the B Crew night shift, offering a 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday. This role involves electrical troubleshooting up to 480 volts and requires experience with assembly line fixtures, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. The work is predominantly mechanical (70%) with a focus on Mittsubishi PLC troubleshooting and electrical work (30%).

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventive maintenance on assembly lines.

+ Utilize multimeter to check motors and voltage.

+ Troubleshoot and replace sensors.

+ Assist in rigging new machinery installations.

+ Troubleshoot PLC systems without programming.

+ Conduct light curtain and safety preventive maintenance.

+ Troubleshoot hydraulic systems.

+ Read and interpret blueprints.

+ Navigate and troubleshoot Mittsubishi PLC's using ladder logic.

Essential Skills

+ 4 years of maintenance experience in production.

+ 2 years of assembly line experience.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting sensors.

+ Ability to read electrical schematics.

+ 2 years of PLC troubleshooting experience with ladder logic.

+ 2 years of hydraulic troubleshooting experience.

+ 2 years of pneumatics experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 7+ years of maintenance experience is advantageous.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a renovated section of the old GM Central plant on Centerpoint Parkway, covering a substantial area of open space. The environment is clean and safe, with no personal protective equipment required on the floor. The facility features hydraulic-driven machines, Mittsubishi ladder logic, Siemens PLCs, RFID readers, vision systems, and Kawasaki 6-axis robots. By the end of 2020, there will be 11 assembly lines in operation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Pontiac, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $66000.00/yr.
