    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator for a 3rd shift position in a metal distribution facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for pulling orders and staging them for delivery, operating forklifts, and assisting with product binding. Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is required.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate sit down forklift and overhead crane to lift and move metal beams.

    + Pull orders and stage them for delivery.

    + Bind products after cutting metal according to order specifications.

    + Use RF scanner for inventory management and order picking.

    + Handle materials and unload trucks.

    + Participate in training programs for equipment use.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience operating sit down forklift.

    + Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing facility.

    + Willingness to learn and operate overhead crane.

    + Basic material handling skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with overhead crane is a plus.

    + Previous shipping and receiving experience.

    + Ability to use a side loader, pallet jack, and stand-up equipment.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a steel warehouse that is not climate controlled, operating forklifts and overhead cranes. Required safety gear includes steel toe metatarsal shoes and safety glasses. Shifts are 8 hours long with a 30-minute paid lunch. 2nd shift runs from 3 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday, and 3rd shift runs from 11 PM to 7 AM, Sunday night through Friday morning.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, North Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
