    Position Description:

    CGI Federal is seeking a talented Junior Knowledge Analyst to join our team within our Defense and Intelligence Community sector. You will be responsible for supporting managers by reviewing meeting agendas, recording meeting minutes, action items, risks, and key decisions, and organizing the information.

     

    You will help facilitate communications and dissemination of information to key stakeholders. CGI Federal is looking for an individual with a passion for building high-quality, scalable data solutions and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced environment.

     

    This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is

     

    acceptable.

     

    Must live within a 50-mile radius of NCR/DMV

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    Before meetings

    . Review the agenda: Familiarize yourself with the topics to be discussed to help organize your notes effectively and anticipate key points.

    . Gather documents: Collect any necessary background materials, reports, or previous meeting minutes that will be referenced during the discussion.

    During meetings

    . Capture key points: Record the main ideas and substance of the discussion, focusing on key takeaways rather than a verbatim transcript.

    . Document decisions: Clearly note any decisions that are reached, including who made the decision and any next steps.

    . Record action items: Write down any assigned tasks, including who is responsible and the associated deadlines.

    . Record Issues and/or risks: Write down any assigned tasks, including who is responsible and the associated deadlines.

    . Note Parking lot items: Record important topics that are outside of the meeting agenda but need to be discussed at a subsequent meeting. Note who needs to be consulted to setup the meeting.

    . Record attendance: Keep a record of who is present and any absences.

    . Remain impartial: Avoid inserting personal opinions or interpretations into the official record.

    After meetings

    . Review and edit: Proofread your notes for accuracy and clarity, clarifying any ambiguities while the information is still fresh.

    . Distribute minutes: Prepare and distribute the finalized meeting minutes to all relevant stakeholders within the specified timeframe.

    . Maintain records: Keep an organized record of all meeting minutes and related documents in the knowledge management system for future reference.

    . Transcribe recordings: If an audio recording was made, use it to verify details and produce an official transcript.

    . Update Action Item registry with updates or new action items noted in the meeting.

    . Update Risk Registry with updates or new risks noted in the meeting.

    . Update Issue Registry with updates or new issues noted in the meeting.

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    A successful Knowledge Analyst possesses a distinct set of skills to handle the formal and confidential nature of the role.

    . U.S. Citizen with the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI Poly

    . 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft Office tools.

    . Listening and comprehension: The ability to listen attentively and quickly distinguish between essential and non-essential information.

    . Attention to detail: Accurately capture names, dates, and other specific details.

    . Writing and typing proficiency: Type efficiently and produce clear, concise, and grammatically correct written documents.

    . Organizational skills: Maintain agendas, related documents, and the minutes themselves in an organized, accessible manner.

    . Time management: Meet deadlines for producing and distributing accurate minutes.

    . Objectivity: Maintain an impartial perspective when documenting discussions, especially in sensitive or high-level meetings.

    . Discretion: Strictly adhere to all confidentiality protocols related to meeting discussions and materials.

    Technical skills

    . Proficiency with knowledge management systems (e.g., Microsoft Teams or GitLab Ultimate), word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word) and other productivity tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint.

    . Knowledge of relevant terminology and abbreviations, which can vary depending on the government department.

    Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

    CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $38,100.00 - $76,100.00.
