Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated BIM Designer to play a crucial role in the BIM process, managing deliverables in line with project schedules, budgets, and scopes. The ideal candidate will coordinate BIM models for construction, collaborate with various stakeholders, and assist in the design, planning, and installation phases alongside field management. This position demands ownership and accountability, vital for the success of commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as a modeler for advanced facility construction clients, particularly in electrical projects.
+ Assign tasks, including self-performance when necessary, set priorities, and monitor progress and quality assurance of 3D modeling and 2D drawing deliverables.
+ Interpret project schedules, budgets, and deliverable requirements, and respond to field requests in planning.
+ Coordinate closely with the prefabrication department.
+ Maintain clear communication with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers.
+ Utilize Revit to produce shop drawings from 3D models, adhering to company standards.
+ Download drawings and information from online platforms such as SharePoint and project websites.
+ Prepare and assemble document sets for distribution to other parties.
+ Collaborate effectively with Virtual Construction and Prefab team members.
+ Understand and adhere to client policies and procedures.
+ Translate verbal and general written directions into functional design documents.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
+ Experience with BIM 360, construction documents, and Revit MEP.
+ Strong capability in electrical drafting and construction drawings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in working on large projects, especially in the semiconductor industry.
+ Ability to work effectively with a design team and onsite electricians.
+ Competent understanding of virtual construction standards and client procedures.
Work Environment
This position is office-based, offering strong mentorship and collaboration with the design team and onsite electricians. The role is flexible, allowing work in multiple locations, such as Hillsboro or the office location. Benefits include seven paid holidays, 40 hours of PTO, and sick time during a 12-month consultancy period.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
