We are seeking an Aerospace Systems Engineer who is passionate about designing, testing, and developing advanced electronic systems in the Aerospace and Defense industry. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical efforts, interface directly with customers, and contribute to cutting-edge product development.
Key Responsibilities
+ Serve as the primary technical interface with customers.
+ Develop and trace system requirements using DOORS and other tools.
+ Design monitoring and built-in test functions for hardware/software implementation.
+ Support proposal efforts with technical solutions and documentation.
+ Provide cost and schedule estimates for product upgrades and new developments.
+ Present technical data to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Manage project schedules and deliverables.
+ Lead design, analysis, testing, and integration of assigned systems.
+ Collaborate across engineering disciplines including hardware, software, mechanical, and certification teams.
+ Maintain and support legacy aerospace products.
+ Assist in FAA certification documentation and new product release processes.
Required Qualifications
+ BS or MS in Electrical, Computer, Software, or Mechanical Engineering.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in avionics system design and development.
+ Strong understanding of embedded software and/or hardware engineering.
+ Familiarity with aircraft systems and standards: ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, DO-178, DO-254, DOORS, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, DO-160.
+ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with brushless DC motors and/or third-party Apple accessories.
+ Proficiency in DOORS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $68.00/hr.
