    DEPARTMENT: Safety Department

     

    MAJOR FUNCTION: To train employees to be productive in their new positions.

     

    Function: To train and educate new and existing employees in all pertaining compliance programs.

    Principal Responsibilities:

    • Train new employees (production and maintenance) and current plant employees at all levels in compliance programs. Thus performing training to an authorized levels.

    • Maintenance Safety Training

    • LOTO

    • Confined Space

    • Hot work Permit

    • Electrical Safety

    • Industrial Truck Program

    • Fall Protection

    • Hazard Communication

    • Hazmat

    • Line Break Permit

    • Contractor Program

    • PPE

    • Respiratory Protection

    • Railcar, Tanker, Hopper Safety

    • Any other Specialized Training

    • Perform Compliance Audits

    • Participate at all levels in the emergency response effort

    • Work Closely with training department to ensure proper training requirements are met

    • Log and tack all compliance training

    • Assist with compliance program updates

    • Conducts Contractor Orientation

    • Evaluates newly hired maintenance employees to ensure they meet the safety qualifications of the position.

    • Assist in Special Project as needed by the department

    • Work schedule fluctuates depending on training demands

    • Job performance is measured by the Safety & Health Manager on such criteria as quality of training and communication ability with employees
