    Electrical Engineer – Power & Building Systems Design (Hybrid | NYC)

    About the Role

    You’ll be responsible for designing and analyzing electrical systems for new and existing buildings, managing project deliverables, and ensuring compliance with local and national codes. From load calculations to life safety systems, your work will help deliver safe, efficient, and innovative infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform load calculations, energy analysis, and equipment selection

    + Design layouts for switchgear, transformers, panels, generators, UPS systems, and power distribution

    + Calculate power and lighting loads for building systems

    + Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards

    + Design life safety systems including fire alarms

    + Manage time and budgets to meet project schedules and deliverables

    + Produce electrical drawings using AutoCAD MEP and Revit

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

    + 5–8 years of experience in electrical design for building systems

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit

    + Experience with load calculations and managing small-to-medium projects

    + Experience in data center projects

    + E.I.T or PE certification required

    Preferred Skills

    + LEED accreditation and knowledge of green building initiatives

    + Mission-critical and commissioning experience

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
