    Job Title: Engineering Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team. This position involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of automation and production equipment, including conveyor systems and automated packaging machines. The role requires a proactive individual with experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and/or pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and will contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain automation and production equipment through routine preventive maintenance services.

    + Diagnose and implement corrective actions for failures in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems.

    + Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FDA, OSHA, and food safety regulations.

    + Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements in the maintenance management system.

    + Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns during production hours.

    + Collaborate with Bakery and Production Managers to schedule maintenance activities with minimal production impact.

    + Maintain clean room standards and adhere to all food safety protocols during maintenance activities.

    + Effectively utilize maintenance technicians to foster knowledge growth and implementation towards a predictable manufacturing environment.

    Essential Skills

    + Associate's Degree within an Engineering Discipline

    + 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of production and automation equipment, with proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems

    + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals

    + Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across multiple departments

    + Ability to thrive in a dynamic setting

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Manufacturing experience within the food and beverage industry

    + Supervision/Management experience within manufacturing

    Work Environment

    The work environment consists of a team of 65 to 70 employees onsite, with a first shift schedule from Monday through Friday (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM EST). The Engineering Technician will lead a team of 2 Maintenance Technicians.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
